Job Description:
- Develop firmware in C/C++ to implement
full featured enterprise class disc drive products, with an emphasis
on all areas of the data path as well as manufacturing support.
- Design,
develop, test, and integrate customer specific features and functions.
- Migrate existing firmware base to new generations
of hardware
- Development and implementation of detailed
test plans to verify firmware functionality, compliance to industry
standards, and compliance to customer requirements.
- Bring-up of new
hardware and new recording technologies
Qualifications:
- BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering
or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong skills in embedded systems firmware
development with proficiency in C/C++
- Experience developing hard
disk drive data path firmware, manufacturing support firmware, and/or
test software
- Experience with common disk drive interfaces
is a plus: SATA, SAS/SCSI, FCAL
