Experience: 5-10 years
- Define and design special validation
vehicles, e.g. FPGA boards for pre-tape out verification, or unique
boards for component-level validation.
- Setup Bring Up plan, and ensure that the plan is consistent across
all the chips on the system. Work with software teams to define the
test application requirements to stress all aspects of the design.
- Play
a strong role in functional validation and electrical
characterization over PVT, interfacing to silicon design/verification,
silicon operations, and systems engineering.
- Debug issues to root causes
leading to revision tape outs, and be a
part of a team carrying chips all the way through to production.
- Work as part of design team to shape the architecture of the chip
from reset sequencing, clock scheme, IP integration, testability
and debug
feature, I/O timing requirements on interfaces to other chips on
the board.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field with
5+
years of experience
- Proven track record of successful validation of
designs in
leading-edge technology
- Strong background in system (PC) architecture,
knowledge of industry standard bus interfaces (PCIe, USB, SATA, SPI
etc) and memory interface
- Prior experience in RTL design, front end integration,
or RTL
verification is highly desired
- Software skills in C/C++, perl
- Experience with high speed analyzers,
scopes, chillers and other
test equipment
